Hi Todd,
I love your blog. I write a blog on a similar topic about biking to work in San Francisco, and I happen to be from Lexington, so lots in common. Hope you get back to writing it now that I've just discovered it! I'm adding you to my blogroll on bikingpaige.wordpress.com

Go UK!!

Helen, thanks -- nope, I didn't fall off! My riding routine is the same as ever, maybe that is the problem -- not a whole lot new to write about! I have been concentrating on the square-foot garden, cleaning up the yard, and doing some minor repairs on the Breezer & my kids' bikes. Come to think of it, some of those would make a good post...

Hi there! Just found your blog, and I wholly support your approach and philosophy! My family has taken to biking everywhere we can, and it's been such a positive change in our lives. I know the feeling you express that if more people tried it, they would find the same benefits.

It's so easy, and satisfying, and simply fun, but people mainly see it as some incredible accomplishment or effort. We get the same thing, with people offering us rides here and there (we have two cars, we could choose to use them whenever we want!). They always express such concern, unaware that we actually LIKE it!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and invite you to take a look over at my site. Just started the blog a few weeks ago, but had the same feeling that the voice of family commuters, for bikes as simply family transportation, was one that could use some extra visibility.

So keep it up! Maybe someday we'll change some minds and convince more people to leave their cars at home.

It's freezing in Nashville, too, and it's kept me off my bike. Hoping for a big comeback next week!

BTW, your info on 2008 commuter bikes is incredibly helpful. (I'm shopping for one this year.) Appreciate it.
