Hey Todd have you looked at the Swobo Dixon, I didn’t see it in the round up of bikes for 2008. Just wanted your opinion about this newer style of commuter bike.

Great roundup of commuting bikes! I test-rode 6 of these. But then finally bought a 3-speed Swobo Novak for $699 + $35 Soma rear rack, + $38 Nitto Promenade handlebars. Hi, just dropping you a line to thank you for posting all your research.

While I have 5 bikes (yes, 5) my current “commuter” bothers my wrists and the other 4 are not suitable for commuting (though I love them for my mountain and recreational road biking). I test rode the Marin and REI models and didn’t like them. I am very intrigued with the Breezer (brand); now, more than ever. I think it’s time to go find a bike shop that carries them and take one on a test ride.
