Weather info at your fingertips
Posted by todd under: Reviews .
I like to know the current temperature and the weather forecast before I head out on my commute each day — this tells me how many layers I’ll need to wear, and what to expect on the way home from work.
These day’s I’m getting my weather report from this greatadd-on for the Firefox browser. (If you’ve never tried Firefox, it’s definitely worth a look. You might find, as I have, that you like it way better than Internet Explorer.)
The add-on puts the Accuweather.com forecast (temperature and cloud cover) right at the bottom of your screen (as you can see above), and you can click on any of the days for more information, such as an hour-by-hour or extended forecast. Very handy.
In fact, I almost ALWAYS wear one (while riding a bike anyway). (On the other hand, if YOU don't want to wear a helmet, I have no problem with it.) I don't remember what happened on this particular day. Fortunately for all of us it makes for a less-nerdly picture. My exceptionally talented professional photographer friend Charles Bertram took this photo.
I asked my 6-year-old son, Caleb, an avid bicyclist and artist, to draw a bike for me. I think he did a great job!
